We Move the Tanks So You Don't Have To
Moving IBC totes requires specialized knowledge and equipment. Our fleet is purpose-built for intermediate bulk container transport — ensuring your tanks arrive safely whether they're empty, full, clean, or contaminated.
We operate 8 vehicles configured specifically for IBC handling, including flatbed trucks, box trucks with liftgates, and a dedicated hazmat-rated transport unit. In a typical month, our fleet completes over 280 pickup and delivery runs, moving approximately 2,400 IBC totes across our service area. Our on-time arrival rate is 96.3%, and our damage rate during transport is under 0.1% — less than 1 in 1,000 totes.
Whether you need a single tote picked up from your loading dock or a full truckload of 20 IBCs delivered to a job site 120 miles away, we have the capacity, the equipment, and the trained personnel to handle it safely and on schedule.
Our Fleet
Every vehicle in our fleet is maintained on a strict preventive maintenance schedule and equipped with the specialized hardware needed for safe IBC transport. Here is what we run.
26-ft Flatbed Trucks (x3)
Primary HaulerOur workhorses for bulk IBC transport. Each flatbed carries up to 20 empty IBC totes (stacked 2-high, 10 per layer) or 8 full 275-gallon totes at maximum liquid weight (approximately 2,300 lbs each).
24-ft Box Trucks with Liftgate (x3)
VersatileIdeal for locations without a loading dock or forklift. The hydraulic liftgate handles loads up to 3,000 lbs, allowing our driver to load and unload IBCs using only a pallet jack — no customer equipment required.
Hazmat-Rated Transport Unit (x1)
SpecializedDedicated to transporting IBC totes that contained hazardous materials. This vehicle carries a full spill kit, containment trays, DOT placards, and all required hazmat shipping documentation. The driver holds a CDL with hazmat endorsement.
Pickup Truck with Utility Trailer (x1)
Light DutyUsed for small pickups (1-4 totes), assessments, and deliveries in tight locations where a full-size truck cannot maneuver. Also used for delivering modified and custom totes one or two at a time.

Loading & Unloading Procedures
Proper loading is critical to prevent damage during transport and ensure driver safety. Here is our standard operating procedure for IBC loading and securing.
Empty Tote Loading
Empty IBCs are loaded using a forklift (preferred) or pallet jack. On flatbed trucks, we place 10 totes in a single layer, then stack a second layer of 10 on top for a maximum of 20 per load. Each tote is positioned with the valve facing inward to prevent snagging. Ratchet straps are applied at 4 points per layer using E-track anchor points rated at 6,000 lbs each. Corner protectors are placed between straps and cage bars to prevent abrasion. Total securement load: 24,000 lbs Working Load Limit (WLL), far exceeding the DOT requirement of 50% of cargo weight.
Full Tote Loading
Full IBCs (up to 2,300 lbs each at maximum fill for a 275-gallon unit) are loaded in a single layer only — never stacked. Each tote is fork-lifted from the pallet fork pockets and placed against the headboard or the tote in front of it to prevent forward shift during braking. Individual ratchet straps are applied to each tote. For liquid loads, we verify that the fill cap is secure and the butterfly valve is closed and locked to prevent spillage.
Liftgate Operations
At sites without a loading dock or forklift, our box trucks use a hydraulic liftgate rated at 3,000 lbs. The driver uses a heavy-duty pallet jack to roll the IBC onto the liftgate platform, raises it to bed height, and rolls it into the truck interior. The entire process takes approximately 4-5 minutes per tote. For safety, we limit liftgate operations to one tote at a time and require a level, paved surface within 20 feet of the truck.
Site Requirements
To ensure efficient and safe loading or unloading, we ask that your site provide the following: clear access for a 35-foot vehicle (26-foot truck plus turning radius), a level surface capable of supporting 26,000 lbs GVWR, at least 12 feet of overhead clearance for flatbed loading, and IBCs staged within 50 feet of the truck parking position. If your site has a loading dock, dock height should be 48-52 inches. If these conditions cannot be met, let us know in advance and we will send the appropriate vehicle and equipment.

We carry comprehensive insurance coverage to protect your assets from the moment we take possession until delivery is complete.
Commercial Auto Liability
